“PUT UP OR SHUT UP”
HARRY HOPKINS CRITICISED Washington, Sept. 23. “It is an insult to every member nf Congress,” Representative Thomas told the House when criticising a speech by Mr. Harry Hopkins, leaselend director, to the National Inventors’ Council, in which he said: “Onlyone thing is important, whether we have in Congress men who want to win the war.” Representative Thomas said that, was tantamount to an accusation, that some members of Congress did not want to win the war. He added that Mr. Hopkins should be required to put up or shut up. • •
