WORKERS’ ENTERPRISE

MUNITION WORKS OPERATED IN LONDON BASEMENT London, Sept. 23. City workers of a large block of London offices are running their own munition works in the basement at night time. Executives, secretaries, typists, lift boys and messengers are working together and have in eight weeks completed a quarter of a contract for 6000 sets of parts. Each worker gives a night a week from 6 p.m. to midnight and then sleeps on the premises. The workers are officially recognised as sub-con-tractors. Arrangements are being made for similar schemes in other offices. ■ - ■ \
