MOTOR UNION’S RESOLUTION (P.A.) Christchurch, Sept. 25. The annual meeting of the South Island Motor Union, at Christchurch to-day, attended aby North Island representatives, Ipassed a resolution that in the opinion-of the I.orth and S'-uth Island Motor Unions it was essential, in the national interest, that transport be kept mobile and the resent petrol allowance had proved inadequate for this purpose, therefore. in view of the present petrol stocks and the general condition, it was urged that the full face value of coupons be restored at the earliest possible date.
