REGENT THEATRE

Three times the “Frankenstein" films have blazed a trail of terror across the nation's screens to prove the top attractions in the field of horror drama. Now comes a fourtn, "The Ghost of Frankenstein,” which is advanced as the most sensational film of the “Frankenstein” series. The Universal drama screens at the Regent Theatre, to-morrow, with Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Lon Chaney, Lionel Atwill, Ralph Bellamy, Bela Lugosi, Evelyn Ankers, and Janet Ann Gallow in the cast. In the new offering, Hardwicke plays “Dr. Frankeinstein,” son of the infamous doctor who originally created the devastating Monster. Among the eerie situations in the new drama is one in which the doctor attempts to perform a daring operation, to give the Monster a sane mind and transform the creature into an instrument of good rather than evil. The associate feature, “You’re Telling ’Me,” is one of the best broadsides of hilarious hocus-pocus that has come to Wanganui for a considerable time. Hugh Herbert is the star.
