CHAMPION SHUT OUT WINS New York, Sept. 22. Racing.—lmperatrice, at odds of 19 to 1, won the Fall High-weight Handicap, of 7500 dollars, from Tola Rose and the favourite, Double Rab, on the opening day of the Belmont Park meeting. The Syonsby Handicap, of 3000 dollars, was won by the tnree-year-old champion Shut Out, with Corydon second and Blueberry Pie third. Belmont race track officials are seeking a return race between Whirlaway and Alsab during the Week of Champions, starting on October 12, and it is hoped the Kentucky Derby winner, Shut Out, will be included in the race. All the proceeds are to go to the Army and Navy Relief. Golf. —Private Mike Turnesa won the 54-hole Decatur open golf tournament, with a 1000 dollars prize, with a score of 204, which is nine under par.
