FIRE-WATCHER GAOLED Wellington, May 20. For stealing blankets and linen valued at £35 10s from the Union Steam Ship Company while firewatching on premises belonging to them. Daniel Joseph Ryan, aged 4.?. a plumber, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced by Mr. J. L. Stout. S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour. Mr. J. A. Scott said that Ryan had been drinking before the offence was committed
