DEATH OF MEMBER London, May 17. The death has occurred of Sir Anneslcy Somerville, Conservative Member of Parliament for the Windsor Division of Berks since 1922, In his 85th year. He commanded Ihe Ist Battalion Bucks Volunteer Regiment during the first world war, in which he lost both his sons. ( HI( HESTER BY-ELEC TION Rugby, May 19. Lieut.-Commander Joynson - Hicks (Conservative National) received 15,634 votes in the Chichester by-elec-tion. against 10.564 by Flight-Lieut. Kidd (Independent National) and 706 by Mr. Tribe (Independet). -8.0.W.
