NO PLANES LOST

Asked by reporters if there was any truth in the Japanese statement that one or more American planes had been shot down in the * raid on Japan, General Doolittle said:—“The Japanese did not have one of our planes on display. They may have painted one of their h own, or they may have gotten one I of ours shot down in another com- f' bat zone. They did not get one I from us.” v A
