FATAL INJURIES
TERRITORIAL MOTOR-CYCLIST. (P.A.) Christchurch, May 19. Driver Albert William Blackwood, aged 19, a Territorial, suffered fatal injuries when riding a motor-cycle on the Main Akaroa Road this morning. Blackwood was thrown from the motor-cycle at a sharp bend about a mile and a-half on the Christchurch side of Akaroa. The machine apparently got out of control in loose shingle and he was thrown over a bank into a paddock. He died within a few minutes. His home address was 174 Main South Road, Caversham, Dunedin. Another member of the convoy met with an accident at the same point, but his injuries were not serious. He was admitted to a military hospital.
