UNDEFENDED DIVORCE
SUPREME COURT PETITIONS Undefended divorce petitions dealt with by Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court, Wanganui, yesterday, were: ■ Charles Albert Rofe (Marton), for whom Mr. K. A. Wiliams appeared, petitioned for a dissolution of marriage from Mary Rofe on grounds of a deed of separation entered into on March 15, 1933.—A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute after three months. Leslie Owen Maurice Moorhouse (Mr. J. M. Hussey) sought a divorce from Enid Clare Moorhouse on grounds of desertion. Petitioner slated that immediately after the marriage in Australia in 1930, his wife deserted him. She rejoined him in New Zealand in 1936, but became homesick and wanted him to go back to Australia. He refused, but sent her to Australia for a trip. She did not return.- -A decree nisi, to be made absolute after three months, was granted. Keita Mateparae Downes (Mr. V. B. Willis) petitioned for divorce from Kahu Morehu Downes on grounds of adultery.—A decree nisi was granted, to be moved absolute after three months. Agnes Isabella Cripps (Mr. V. B. Willis) sought dissolution of marriage from Joseph Cripps on the grounds of a separation agreement entered into in 1939.—A decree nisi was granted to be moved absolute after three months.
