There was a good al tendance at the Mav meeting of the Ngarauru branch of the W.T. Mrs. Tauri presided. It was decided that members would start making camouflage nets as soon as the twine came to hand and that, peggy squares he knitted from home-spun wool and a quilt be made for the refugees. During the afternoon 14 parcels were packed to be sent, to local Maori soldiers and members of the Maori Battalion serving overseas. Now members enrolled were: Mosdames Tehuna. R. Kingi, P. Hina and W. Woreta. Results of competition for best cushion: Mrs. R. Tcka 1, Mrs. Tauri . " Following the W.T. meeting members of the Ngarauru Red Cross held their monthly meeting. Mrs. P. Bonnett. presiding. Several business matters wore discussed. It was decided tn send £2 for the prisoners of war fund. New members elected were: Mrs. P>. Tauri (vice-president). Mesdames W. Wereta. P. Hina, T. Tui.
