BEER PRICES
WANGANUI ADJUSTMENTS Instead of increasing the price of beer sold over the counter to customers to sevenpence a glass, as authorised by the Price Tribunal, Wanganui hotel licensees have substituted long glasses for handles and the price will remain at 6d. The glasses hold eight ounces. The price of "riggers” has been advanced from Is 9d to 2s, and beer in bulk has been advanced in price from 6s 6d a gallon to 8s 3d. Bottled beer has been increased from Is 9d to 2s Id a quart.
