REGENT THEATRE
With an impressive cast lending them valuable support, Jane Withers and Jackie Cooper come to the Regent Theatre to-day in Columbia’s "Her First Beau," which has been hailed as one of the season’s gayest comedies. This comedy has been praised not only for its zestful high jinks, but for its brilliant study of the happiness and romance, anger and pride and doubt which play such vital roles in the emotional life of youth today. Jane is seen as a youngster go-ing-on-16, who wants to be a great writer. To be a great writer, she reasons, one must suffer; and. she further reasons, the best way to suffer is through an unhappy love affair. The associate feature, "Tuxedo Junction." is a story without a dull moment and stars Thurston Hall, Frankie Darro and Sally Payne.
