DEATH OF A MAORI
ITOLLOWS ALTERCATION IN HOTEL BAR (P.A.) Auckland, May 17. A Maori named Heremia Ratu, of Parnell, died in Auckland Hospital from head injuries. It is stated that Ratu, who was a waterside worker, aged 58, was in the public bar of a hotel and received a blow following an altercation. Ratu fell to the floor and was removed to the Auckland Hospital. The police are seeking information from eye-wit-nesses of the incident.
