WANGANUI SOCCER
SEASON OPENS TO-DAY The Wanganui Football Association mil open its season to-day when games will be played on the Technical College grounds. The principal game will be between Technical College A and United at 2 p.m. The personnel ol the teams are- - I Technical A.—H. Smith (captain! T. McKay, J. White, Baddeley, WiL Hams, O. Robb. Mew. Carthwright, D. Green, R. Lammerton, and Morrison. United.—Dashfield. Mailman (captain). Cresswell, Catanach. Jame« Barnes, R. W. McCarten, I. R. Green,' E. F. Welton. I. Hessell, and L. Matthews. Emergencies: R. Field and J. Caveli. The referee will be Mr. J. Thompson. It is hoped to have an Army team to play the Rangers Club on May 23. The association is appealing to all -soccer enthusiasts to get in touch with officials and be placed in teams immediately.
