E.P.S. AIR-RAID TRIAL EVACUATION SCHEME The Marton E.P.S. Executive Committee has decided to hold another air raid trial. Three days will be announced to Marton residents, and on the night of one of these the trial will take place. The executive has arranged woolshed and other accommodation for evacuation purposes of Marton residents, but requires accommodation for about 350 aged people, invalids, and young children. It is also proposed* to furnish residents with information regarding the places they would be evacuated to in an emergency. The major accommodation will be in woolsheds. In one, which is used for church services, an organ is installed. Accommodation arranged provides for 2445 people, which includes residents of Lower Rangitikci and Bulls. HAWKESTONE GOLF CLUB On account of members engaged in Home Guard duties, all draws by the Hawkestone Golf Club will take place at 1.30 on Saturdays at the club’s pavilion.
