A circular was received from tne Department of Agriculture, staling that in view of the present position regarding farm labour generally, and lhe still more serious consequence.that would arise if further essential labour was withdrawn, the District Council strongly recommended that (1 all branch councils and primary producers’ sub-committees should main- tc tain a close watch on the position t f in their respective districts.
