MANAGER HONOURED
FIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE This week Mr. A. E. Rankin completed 50 years of service with the hardware firm of Messrs. Mason. Struthers and Co.. Ltd. He started with the firm in Christchurch and moved to Wanganui in 1917. When Mason. Struthers and Co. took over the business of J. Thain and Co., Mr. Rankin was appointed manager, a position he has held ever since. To mark his jubilee, members of the staff met him on Wednesday and presented him with a case of pipes. Mr. D. J. Armstrong, in making the presentation. extended Mr. Rankin the best of wishes and expressed the hope that he would be with the firm for many years to come. Mr. Rankin received congratulatory messages from business firms and associates throughout the Dominion.
