Strengthen their hearts and hands that they may wage a good warfare. Help us to re- • member what we owe to their courage 1 and sacrifice, and to do what we can in sharing their burden. We pray that in the times of danger Thy protecting • care may be about them, and that ere ! long they may return, their task aci (omplished. and liberty secured for ! mankind. Guide the counsels of the ■ nations that in the coming of peace all I bitterness of hate may be over past.
