ARGENTINE PRESIDENT

TREATMENT FOR EYE TROUBLE Buenos Aires, May 12. The United Press says that Dr. Ramon Castroviejo, noted New York eye specialist, arrived to see President Robert Ortiz to-day. Failing sight has caused President Ortiz to remain in temporary retirement since June, 1940, leaving M. Castillo as act-ing-President. Many believe that if President Ortiz’s sight is restored he might resume active control, and Argentina’s foreign policy consequently might be radically changed. Argentina and Chile are the only two American republics maintaining diplomatic relations with the Axis.
