Heavy Road Traffic Unusually heavy road traffic, reminiscent of holiday periods before the war, was noticed in the Wanganui district yesterday, particularly on the main road to Marton. From about nine o'clock in the morning outward traffic on this road steadily increased, and at one stage there was an almost continual stream of cars on the Marangai flat. The attraction was the last day of the Feilding Jockey Club's autumn meeting at Marton.
