COUPON FOR PETROL I SUPPLY IOR PRB ATE CARS (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., March 19. An announcement that petrol coupon No. 12, in addition to No. 11, already issued, will he available as from to-day for the remainder of Marcii was made by the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Suilivan, to-night. This had been decided upon, he said, to keep private cars mobile because sufficient petrol was available to enable it to bo done without imperilling the country's security and in order to release the amount of storage space required bv the Air Force for the storage of aviation fuel. "It is felt," Mr. Sullivan added, “that in general the present basis of rationing provides reasonably adequate allowances for essential business. However, there may be cases where additional petrol is vital. These cases should be taken up with the local oil fuel controllers." The Minister said that people were loyally accepting the petrol restrictions, and if the position deteriorated he was sure they would again accept any further restrictions necessary foi I the safety of the country.
