LIVESTOCK MARKETS
MARTON SALE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report an entry of 700 sheep and a few pigs at the Marton sale on Tuesday to a good attendance. The market for all classes of sheep was arm and the whole yarding was sold as follows:—Good forward w. lambs, on account A. Honeyman, 17s; good ewe lambs on account of same vendor, 21s 3d; on account other vendors: 5-year ewes, 13s 7d; fat 2tooths, 21s lOd; good medium ewe lambs. 17s 6d; smaller sorts, 13s to 14s Id; tailenders. 7s small wether lambs, 7s 6d; aged S.D. rams (pick), 1? to 2 guineas; others, half a guinea Io one guinea; weaner pigs, 8s to 9s 6d.
