PERSONNEL (Recd. 11.5 p.m.) Canberra, March 17. The majority of R.A.A.F. personnel serving in the Far East have returned to Australia, Mr. A. S. Drakeford, Air Minister, announced to-day. He added that they would be absorbed into the home squadrons so that their active service experience would be as widely distributed as possible. Most of the men had operated right through the Malayan campaign and the early stages of the Sumatra and Java hostilities, and their morale was very high.
