TRENTHAM TRACKS KINDERGARTEN PLEASES Wellington. March 12. Conditions were excellent at Tren.ham this morning for training operations. for although some of the inner tracks were closed, the course proper (showed little sign of the heavy rain of Tuesday, and the times registered were very satisfactory. All the fast work was carried out on the outside of the course proper. Celebrity quickly worked to the front from Rakahanga and she held her position to the close, running five furlongs in Imin. 4 l-55.c., after taking 14 l-ssec. for the initial furlong. Gunyah and Madame Rachel were travelling well within themselves at the end of half a mile in 52 2-ssec. Banco drew to the front from Malayan in the last few strides of a hahmile sprint to complete his task in 49 4-ssec. Gay Genet and a companion slipped over half a mile in 48sec., Gay Genet being clear at the post. Theolateral showed a torrent ol speed by breaking 48sec. for half a mile. Premature jumped off at the mile post to run the last seven furlongs in Imin. 92 4-ssec., after covering the first three in 36sec. Stairway and Tau-uru did a strong working gallop over a mile, running the distance in Imin. 46 l-ssec. without being required to do their best. Martene ran smoothly over five furlongs in Imin. 6 2-ssec. There is still some doubt as to which race he will start in. Salutation took 28sec. for her first two furlongs, but she got to the enc of six furlongs in Imin. 20sec. Shf is not a good track galloper. The Champ had the edge on PayRoll at the dose of live furlongs in Imin. ssec.. the last half-mile in 50 2-ssec. Greek Idol drew clear of Duality in the late stage of a seven-furlongs task run in Imin. 30sec.. lhe last halfmile in 51sec. Kentucky strode out boldly over live furlongs j n Imin. 6sec., and Sir Beau and Duncannon, who followed, ran six furlongs in J min. 19sec., after taking 29sec. tor the first two. Belle Star showed the way to King Herod over half a mile, run in 51 1- Both were under a hard hold throughout. Arctic Dawn drew alongside of Cheerful Lady at the end of the second furlong for the pair to finish together. running their five furlongs in Imin. ssec. Arctic Dawn went' very smoothly. Hippodrome and Broadcaster came home solidly over half a mile in 48 2- 1h n latter being kept up to his work over the final furlong.
