ENGINE-DRIVERS’ WAGES
ARBITRATION COURT RESERVES DECISION (P.A.) Wellington, March 11. The hearing of an application by the New Zealand Engine Drivers' Union for a 9.6 per cent, increase in wage rates to compenate for the increased cost of living concluded in the Court of Arbitration to-day when decision was reserved. Mr. W. E Anderson, advocate for the employers, and Mr. A. McLogan, advocate for the workers, closed their cases, the latter remarking that the granting of the application would have a good effect on the psychology of the workers.
