PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, as from to-day, watering gardens, lawns, etc., by means of a hose is permitted for one half-hour ; only daily, the hosing time to be as follows: In that portion of the City situated ; on the south-western side of the Great i North Road, Victoria Avenue, and Portal Street (including Gonville, Castlecliff, and Durie Hill) between 6.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. In that portion of the City situated on the north-eastern side of the Great ■ North Road. Victoria Avenue, and ■ Portal Street, (including Aramoho, Wanganui East and Durie Vale), be- ' tween 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Any person using a hose mi water ing gardens, lawns, etc., at times ollie.than the above-mentioned, or allowing water to run to waste from any pipe tap, or other apparatus, or hosing or permitting water to he used by a hose not held by the hand, will be prose cuted.
