MAJESTIC THEATRE
“Unholy Partners,’’ a drama of tabloid newspaper adventure, with Edward G. Robinson as the star, is Met ro-Gol dw y n-M ay er's ofi’er ing a I the Majestic Theatre. Edward Arnold appears as the overlord of New York gangsters, who buys a half interest in Robinson's tabloid. They are bitter enemies and partners until the showdown. Laraine Day has the feminine lead as Robinson’s secretary with whom he is in love. Marsha Hunt appears as a Broadway singer, introducing her first screen song number, “After You’ve Gone." William T. Orr is cast as the reporter who marries her and Don Beddoe portrays a news editor. The story is reminiscent, of the newspaper men of Park Row who now reside in Hollywood, and there are many of them, including Paul Gallico, sports authority and ace reporter, Gene Fowler, Red Daugherty, Charles Darnton of the old Evening World, and half a dozen others.
