TARANAKI MEETING
REVIEW OF TO-DAY’S CARD The Taranaki Jockey Club's autumn meeting will be concluded to-day at New Plymouth. Though fields have suffered somewhat through the unavoidable clash with the Wellington meeting, there will be eight interesting events. Chief interest will be taken in the Taranaki Stakes, though the field will be smaller than appears likely from the card. With Gold Dale. Prince Plato, Transmitter, Neenah and War Effort engaged, there is material for an interesting race. The following may be well supported in their engagements:--Okoke Hurdles.—Kaiwaka, Student Prince, Resingold. Awakino Hack.—Ngamatea, Frustration, Pongi. Mokau Hack. —Worton, Polario, Ocean Breeze. Taranaki Stakes.—Prince Plato, Gold Dale, Neenah. Paul Memorial.—Alexcelia, Kanui te Pai, Mahaina. Paritutu Juvenile. —Clarice, Broiveine, Sunblaze.
