“MAN HI NT." "Man Hunt." which is showing to day at the Opera House, is one o those occasional pictures that justil; superlatives. The principal actors an Waller Pigeon and George Sanders Walter Pigeon as lhe hunter who be comes hunted, and Sanders as thi Gestapo chief who personally sets ou to track his man down. Tile scent opens in lhe Bavarian Mountains neai Hitlers retreat—he is the English man's "big game"- and ends in a cavi in the English countryside, where tin Englishman hides from his enemie: until the crisis is over. The picture reaches a tremendous dramatic climax here as the Englishman, bargaining through a hole in the cave refuses to sign a confession that he tried to kill the “b— little Fuhrer' (his own words) at the British Government's instigation. Joan Bennett plays the main female role, that of tin dockside demoiselle who helps thi Englishman. The supporting programme includes a "short" on thi Japanese navy.
