SECRETARY EXPLAINS
WRITING PA.PFR FOR DEFAULTERS TAKEN FROM INSTITI TIONAL HI TS AT CAMP (Press Assn.) Wellington, Dec. 18. The secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board Mr. G. A. Hayden. stated this afternoon that he had been advised that there had been some criticism of the fact that men at the defaulters’ detention camp had been using National Patriotic Fund Board I writing paper. Mr. Hayden said that none of the paper had been supplied to the camp hy the board. Inquiries had been made and it had been ascertained that the paper had been taken by some of the men fro n institutional huts at military camps where they were before being removed to the defaulters’ camp.
