WOMEN DIG TRENCHES
RALLY IN WELLINGTON (Press Assn » Wellington, Dec. 18. Enthusiastic groups of women, together with some men and youths, rallied at various points in Wellington to-day to dig slit trenches and other shelter works. Among the women were Countess Wodzicki, wife of the ConsulGeneral for Poland, and the Mayoress, Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop. However, rain interrrupted activities after a short time.
