TAIHAPE HOSPITAL
“DUMPING GROI \D FOR CASTOFF ARTICLES’’ The Taihape Hospital was a happy dumping ground for articles cast-off from the Wanganui Hospital, commented Mr. T. C. Kinuaird (I'aihape) at Ihe monthly meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board yesterday, when it was decided to obtain a larger potato peeler for the Wanganui Hospital and send one now in use to Taihape. Mr. Kincaid asked for an assurance from the engineer that the peeler was in good order before being sent to Taihape, and the board agreed to this suggestion. Mrs. J. J. Scott (Wanganui City) said she preferred the good old way of serving potatoes in their jacket •. Much of the nutritious value was lost when potatoes were peeled. The chairman, Mr. W. E. Broderick (Maxwell) commented that if potatoes were cooked in their jackets the hospital would need extra maids to peel them for the patients.
