ENEMY SHIPPING IN THE MEDITERRANEAN WORK OF SUBMARINES Rugby, Dec. 15. An Admiralty communique stales: "In Ihe Mediterranean His MajestCs submarines continue to harasr enemy shipping. A medium-sized hip. a schooner, and a caique have been sunk b\ gunlire. A supply ship and also a salvage tug believed to be the Irene Vernicos were found in Candia Harbour. Both were sunk by torpedo. Two supply ships of medium tonnage <■- H’ted ... a destroyer have been attacked. Hits were made with torpedoes on one of these vessels. “An Italian ship of the Ramb class has attacked and hit with torpedo >. It is not known if this vessel sank. “A ship of some 12.000 tons has been torpedoed and sunk. This vessel was under escort. It is known that ships of this class have been used as troop transports. 8.0.VV.
