LEND-LEASE WILL STILL GO ON
GERMAN HOPES DOOMED Washington, Dec. 12. The White House issued the following statement to-day: “Obviously Germany did all it could to push Japan into the war. It was the German hope that if the United States and Japan could be pushed into the war such a conflict would put an end to the Lend-Lease programme. As usual the wish was father to the thought behind the broadcasts and announcements emanating from German) with relation to the war and the Lend-Lease programme. That such German broadcasts and announcements are continuously and completely 100 per cent, inaccurate is shown bj the fact that the Lend Lease programme is. and will continue, in full operation”
