INCREASED NOTE ISSUE. The sterling exchange funds ol the Reserve Bank of New Zealand last Monday totalled £11,056,973. an increase for the week of £184.998. The bank's net overseas assets at £10,918,512 have increased by £75.299. The note issue, with the approach of Christmas, continues to expand, and now totals £23,024 747. an increase for the week of £315.664. Advances t>> the State Marketing Department at £5.559,070, have decreased by £573.1"7. while advances to the State for otner purposes are unchanged at £17,500.000. The statement of assets and liabilities as at the close of business on Monday. December 8. is as follows: LIABILITIES
