Patriotic work for the year from the institute includes 365 hussifs. 45 feeders. 1-1 bala avas, 18S pairs mittens. O') scarves. 3 polo-neck jumpers and 71 soldiers' parcels were packed. In addition 331 articles were forwarded to the Lady Galway Guild. An invitation was received from the Tokorangi W I to attend their Christmas party. Mrs. Eagle entertained u.th vocal solos, accompanied by Mrs. Bailey. During the afternoon, three interesting thrift demonstrations were given bv (It Mrs. Matthews, making (hildren's s ; <rs from used felt hats; i2» Mrs. Slight. . hildren's socks from old sox: (3> Mrs. Tarry, shopping bags from used felt hats.
