McCowatt, chief postmaster at Wanganui, when asked yesterday if the public had responded to the appeal to post early this Christmas, Mr. McCowatt said that the system of one delivery daily by postmen in the residential area would he inaugurated to-day. People who have not jet installed letter-boxes at their front gates will be communicated with and will be given a final opportunity of putting up the boxes. Otherwise such householders will be required to call at the nost office for their mail
