RAETIHI NOTES
— PRIMARY SCHOOL END-OF-YEAR PARTY. Mr. Ron. Bryers was the guest of honour at an end-of-term party conducted by the senior members of the Raetihi Primary School. Mr. Bryers. who is terminating his post as teacher at tbe school, has been ■particularly helpful to the boys with their football and to the girls with their new drill. In recognition of this the children presented him with a mounted hair-brush and comb. Eulogistic reference of the fine work done throughout the year by Mr. ‘Bryers was made by the headmaster. Mr. J. E. James, and also by Mr. S. lA. Sims. Presentations were also made to Mr. James for the assistance he had rendered to the senior pupils during the ! term. A "welcome home" presentation was made to Mr. S. A Sims who has just resumed his teaching after completing his training at the Waiouru Military Camp. The evening took the form of dancing. items and musical games. Among the most appreciated items were two comic songs sung by the headmaster. •John Garmonsway was a very capable IM.C. and the presentations were made by Miss Shirley Waters. The teachers thanked the children for their thoughtfulness and generosity. *
