WANGANUI SECONDARY SCHOOLS
END-OF-YEAR FUNCTIONS TO-DAY AND TO-MORROW Wanganui secondary schools are holding end-of-year gatherings this week. This afternoon the Wanganui Technical College will hold its ceremony in the assembly hall. The speake.will be Mr. I. F. McKenzie, M.A.. 8.C0m.. A.R.A., registrar of the Neu Zealand University. Mr. McKenzie is an old boy of the college. The annual picnic will be held tomorrow. The exhibition of work at the Sacred Heart Convent. St. John's Hill, will be continued this afternoon and the annual entertainment will be held 10-night in the Convent assembly hall. The Bishop of Wellington, Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, will be the speaker at the Wanganui Collegiate School prize-giving in Big School tomorrow night at 7.30 and at St. George's Preparatory School at 2.30 to-morrow afternoon. The prize-giving ceremony at the Wanganui Girls' College will also take place to-morrow night In the college assembly hall, the guest or honour being the Director of Education, Dr. C. E. Beeby. The .Wellington Diocesan School
for Girls, Nga Tawa, wiil hold its annual fete to-day and to-night tne prize ceremony will take place, the speaker being the Polish ConsulGeneral Count K. A. Wodzicki. The Maori Girls' College. Turakina, will hold its prize-giving ceremony on Friday, when the speaker will be the Rev. J. G. Laughton, superintendent of Maori Missions.
