RETURNS FOR WANGANUI Customs revenue collected at the Port of Wanganui last month amounted to £15,480, compared with £19.110 during the corresponding pr.iod in 1940, a. decrease of £3270. Sales tax last month produced £4352 compared with £5086 in November, 1940. and war expenses collect »cr.s from sales tax amounted to £1352. as against £5085. Customs duty amounted to £6345 last month, compared with £7939, bee; duty brought in £587. as against £771. War expenses collections from other items produced £204. last year’s figures for the same period being £229.
