PAINTER SENTENCED TO BORSTAL .MOTORING BREACHES. INSPECTORS’ ROUND-UP OF ’ STRAY DOGS. Found guilty on nine charges of theft ot tools, to the total value of £69 16s 9d, Harold Edwin Morgan, a painter, was committed in the Magistrate's Court, at Wanganui yesterday, to the Borstal Institute for a period not exceeding 12 months. William Harrison, for operating a motor vehicle without a current warrant of fitness was convicted and lined £1 (costs 3s). A fine of £5 was imposed upon Charles Cecil Sutton, for stealing 48 cabbages, valued at 12s, from the garden of Kwong Chung Fore, Aramoho. For beng found in a state of intoxicaion while in charge of a motortruck in Victoria Avenue, on September 21, Geoffrey Leslie Holly was lined £l5 (costs 3s, doctor’s fee £1 ls>. Charged with driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, Sydney Frank Duffy was convicted and lined £3 (costs 16s, witnesses’ expenses 14s). For driving without a current warrant of fitness Duffy was lined 10s (costs 12s).
