QUEEN ALEXANDRA RIFLES

OFFICERS FOR CAMP SPECIAL TRAINING CADRES The tentative date for the entry to camp of the training cadre for Queen Alexandra's Mounted Rifle Regiment has been fixed at November 1 or thereabouts, stated Captain A. Holmes. N.Z.P.S., Hawera, adjutant of Q.A.M.R. The training cadre consists of a personnel of 118 men who will enter camp at Palmerston North. Officers included in the cadre are as follows: Lieutenant-Colonel H. PStewart, 0.C.; Captain A. Holmes, N.Z.P.S., adjutant; Captain P. JColeman, quartermaster; SecondLieutenant C. M. Gardner, light car; Second-Lieutenant T. W. McCarten, machine-gunners; Major J. M. Hartwell, Captain J. Bosomworth, Captain'D. L. Broome, squadron leaders; Second-Lieutenants W. J. Polson, D. J. Law, M. H. Dickie and J. O. McWilliam, troop leaders. In addition, Second-Lieutenant G. S. Fry will remain at headquarters at Hawera as assistant-adjutant. The regimental headquarters will move from Hawera to camp, only a subsidiary headquarters being left at Hawera from which all administration in connection with out-of-camp training and personal records will be dealt with.
