MR. DUFF COOPER IN THE FAR EAST
JAPANESE DO NOT LIKE HIM PAPER DEMANDS HIS RECALL (Recd. 8.40 p.m.) Tokio, Sept. 27. The Tokio Times and Advertiser has demanded Mr. Duff Cooper’s recall from the Far East. It is alleged that he exceeded all instructions by irritating instead of composing the Far Eastern peoples. “He would be well advised if the British Government sharply curtails his utterances and manoeuvres.” sax* the naner. “He is parading as a firebrand.”—U.P.A. Mr. Duff Cooper was sent to the Far East as British Cabinet representative to examine the report on conditions.
