WAGES DONATED TO “STOP HITLER”
U.S.A. UNION PAINTERS EACH GIVE A DAY’S I’AY (Recd. 6.40 p.m.) New York, Sept. 27. Five thousand union painter;, donated to-day's wages, exceeding 50,000 dollars to the Defend America Committee for use in the "Stop Hitler" campaign. This is the first time in the twenty years since they won the five-day week, that the un:o painters have worked on a Saturday in New York.—U.P.A.
