ATTACKS ON SHIPS

AIR FORCE OPERATIONS BiG VESSEL BOMB*) Rugby, Sept. 25. An Air Ministry communique says the weather yesterday was unfavourable for air operations, but aircraft on patrol continued the attacks on enemy shipping. Off the coast of Norway a Hudson of the Coastal Command bombed a largo enemy supply ship from a low level, and off Dunkirk Hurricanes of the Fighter Command attacked enemy minesweepers with cannon and machine-gun fire. Shortly after noon a single enemy aircraft dropped bombs on a place on the East Coast of Scotland, states a communique. No one was hurt and no damage was done.

Soon after dark a very small number of enemy aircraft crossed the south-east coast of England. One dropped bombs at a point near the coast. There were no casualties and only slight damage.—B.O.W.
