WOMEN S HOCKEY
RANGITIKEI TEAMS AT PALMERSTON NORTH SUCCESSFUL OUTING (0.C.l Marton, Aug. 30. The Rangitikei women’s ifjckey 1 representative teams visited Palmers- ' ton North to-day. The A team won 1 by five goals to one against Manawatu and the B team won by five 1 goals to two. For the Rangitikei A team goals 1 were scored by M. Bush (2), M. Botcher (2), and B. Iwikau (1). The Manawatu goalie stopped several hot shots by hitting the ball over the heads of the attackers. M. Botcher (centre forward) strengthened the : forward line for Rangitikei. j For the Rangitikei B team goals . were scored by B. Taiuru (2), E. Pedersen (2), and B. Dales (1). Both j B. Taiuru and E. Pedersen played outstanding games. The games were played at a fats . pace in a friendly spirit on a good ground. , The teams were entertained at , afternoon tea at the Hokowhitu Bowling Club’s pavilion. Thanks were returned to the Manawatu Club for their hospitality by Mr. W. G. Aitken (Rangitikei manager) and acknowledged by Mr. V. Turner (Manawatu manager).
