I “BUCK PRIV ATES” I Screening to-day at. the Regent I Theatre, “Buck Privates," one of the I funniest comedies seen in Wanganui | for a long time, is the first picture to ■ i depict the humorous side of the ( American Army camp life. Foremost lof the recruits are Lou Costello and Budd Abbot. Also in the cast are Lee Bowman as a handsome man with a ' superiority complex, Alan Curtis as I his ex-chauffeur, and Nat Pendleton as a sergeant. Also prominent are the Andrew Sisters, who appear as hosles- , ses at the camp and present several songs in their own inimitable manner. including, ”I’ll be With You in . Apple Blossom Time." "You're a Lucky Fellow. Mr. Smith," “Bounce Me, B. ther, With a Solid Four" and a particularly bright tune, "Boogie Woogle Bugle Boy." The awkward | squad provides endless fun.
