FOUR REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES.

RESULTS AT A GLANCE. Rugby.—Wanganui B 10, Rangitikei 6; Rangitikei Thirds 33, Wanganui (Marist Thirds) 3. Hockey.—Rangitikei A 4, Manawatu A 0; Rangitikei B 4, Manawatu B 0. The Rugby matches are reported in another column. LADIES’ HOCKEY. RANGITIKEI WINS BOTH MATCHES. The Rangitikei ladies' hockey teams had a successful day on the Marton Park on Saturday when they won both the A and B matches against Manawatu, the A team winning by 4 goals to nil, and the B team by the same score. In both matches the Rangitikei girls showed better combination, and were able to grasp every opportunity for scoring, and turn it into good account. The Rangitikei A team played in the uniforms that they wore at the New Zealand championships last year, and favourable comments were heard among the spectators on the fine appearance they made. In the A match. I. Hammond scored three goals and M. Bush one for Rangitikei. The A teams were:—Rangitikei: L. Patterson, I. Hammond, JI. Bush, B. Iwikau, JI. Pilei, D. Field, E. Fitches, J. Bush. M. Botcher, M. Denbow, and M. Fitches. Manawatu: O. McKerney. D. Tucker, W. Davies, D. Simeon, D. Jones, JI. Rackey, JI. JlcEwin, V. Knight, R. Davies, H. Banks and H. Te Oka. Messrs. A. Grade and Grigg were the umpires. In the B match, Rangitikei's goals were scored by E. Angus, B. Tolley, JI. Hution and S. Downs. The Rangitikei B team was E. Pedersen. E. Angus, B. Taiuru, B. Tolley, M. Hutton, G. Mills, R. Zander, S. Downs, E. Davidson, S. Hartley and Mrs. Parr. Manawatu B was represented by J. JlcEwin, E. Bray, P. Simpson, M. Herrick, D. Knight. 13. To Oka. P. Simeon. On Saturday the sixth and final race for the Todd Cup was held, and the result of the series of races was: —F. Hill (29 points) 1, C. Harper (30) 2. This is the second time that F. Hill has won the cup. He is also the club champion. C. Harper, the run-ner-up, is a first year harrier, and with his brother has been a great asset to the club. On Saturday, F. On Saturday, the Marton Park was very busy with representative matches. On the eastern side, at 1.30 p.m.. Rangitikei Thirds played Wanganui Thirds (Marist), and at 3 p.m.. Rangitikei seniors played Wanganui B. On the western area, at 2 o'clock the Rangitikei Ladies’ B team played Manawatu B, and at 3.15 p.m., Rangitikei A played Manawatu A. Of all these rep. matches, Rangitikei won three, and the visitors secured one win, that being in the football. A crowd of satisfactory proportions was present, and the day was beautifully fine with very mild temperatures, although the grounds were very heavy alter 24 hours of steady rain the day before. LADIES’ HOCKEY. RANGITIKEI REP. TEAM TO TRAVEL TO BLENHEIM. The selection committee of the Rangitikei Ladies' Hockey Association has announced the players to represent Rangitikei at the New Zealand championships, which are to be held at Blenheim at the end of Dhis month. The abbreviations are Kia Ora (K), Bulls (B), Rata (R), United-Tutaenui (U). Following are the players selected: —L. Patterson (U), I. Hammond (U), M. Bush (K), B. Iwikau (K), M. Pilet (K), D.
