RANGITIKEI THIRD GRADE REPS.
EASY WIN OVER WANGANUI MARIST Because of the inability of the Wanganui fourths to field a team on Saturday, Marist thirds visited Marton, but were soundly defeated by the Rangitikei thirds by 33 points to 3. From the first whistle there was only one team in the picture, and in all departments of the game the home side was far superior. For Rangitikei tries, were scored by Adams (2), Ellery (2), Watson, Easton, Hogan, Keystone and Warbrick, one each, while Bartlett converted two and Stantiall one. For the visitors Heagney scored. Cairneross was the referee. Park on Saturday. The contesting teams were from Gonville and Aramoho, the former winning by 8 points.
